Experiencing life in Bend as I grew up gave me abundant opportunities.  As a kid I competed in alpine ski racing with the Bend Skyliners which opened doors to compete for the University of Colorado where I earned a degree in Economics.  I became a two time NCAA National Champion, 3 time NCAA National Champion Team member and US Ski Team member.  Importantly I gained valuable life experience in excellence, dedication and high performance.  To pass it on to others I directed the US Ski Association / Rocky Region and later became the men's alpine coach for the Dartmouth College Ski Team.  We created a successful team:  2 NCAA National Champions, 17 All Americans and 4 US Ski Team members.

 

Mary Ellen and I moved back to raise our two sons who have ski raced and benefited growing up in Bend.  We value the people here:  our school faculty, coaches, craftsmen, medical professionals and all the others that make this a great place to live.  We are enthusiastic about skiing, hiking and biking the mountains, lakes & forest trails.  We appreciate clear skies, clean air & water.
